Welcome Note

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome!

After a year of unexpected turmoil, we are happy to invite you to the Eighth Annual Meeting of the Israeli Ophthalmology Society, which will be a virtual meeting, held in November 11th, 2020.

The Seventh Annual Meeting of the Israeli Ophthalmology Society took place in June 2019. It was a successful meeting, one of the largest ever in ophthalmology in Israel, with approximately 1200 participants and 600 ophthalmologists. Additionally, representatives of 40 medical equipment and pharma companies participated in it.

We planned to celebrate the year 20:20 and its significance to those who practice in all fields of ocular healthcare, and hold an even larger meeting. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed from June to October, and according to the present situation we have decided to turn in in to a virtual meeting – in November.

This year’s meeting will be a one-day virtual meeting, with an emphasis on research works by ophthalmologists from all departments and the community. In addition to the subspecialty sessions, it will include a special general assembly, “rapid fire” session and sessions dedicated to the para-medical professions.

The meeting will also include a virtual exhibition by companies from the ophthalmology industry, who in collaboration with the Israeli Ophthalmology Society work to promote ophthalmology and ophthalmic education in Israel.

Due to the virtual format of the meeting, registration this year will be complimentary! The meeting program and registration link will be updated soon.

We are looking forward to seeing you in an interesting and unique meeting!
